itknowles has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

Little help please, Monks. I'm on a Win7 machine. I have a script I wrote using ActivePerl 5.12 that used Win32::GuiTest, which fails to install on later versions of ActivePerl (according to this-a-here thread at StackOverflow). In that same thread, a respondent suggests adding bribes.org's repository to the PPM, which I do by paying meticulous attention to the instructions at Bribes, but according the PPM, there's no packages available from Bribes. So I tried uninstalling ActivePerl and installing an early version of Strawberry Perl, and then installing the package directly from CPAN. Still no luck. Alright so am I left with having to scour the dark recesses of the web for a copy of ActivePerl 5.12, or do I have other options? Thanks!
