I recieved this link by Eric Raymond regarding the benefits of open source. It speaks exactly of the reason I got into linux and open source software. I got rid of that we want you to feel stupid (by looking at windows docs) to the open source way of feeling stupid (learn to read sources, documentation) Hope someone else enjoys it.

    An excellent article. Open source is the pilgrim prarie to the concrete jungle. Who could say that Perl would be as powerful, useful, and far-reaching as it is today without adopting the Free/Open GNU and Artistic licences?
