    and before starting a flame war, maybe a mor einteresting questing is in what environment the fav editor is used

    • scanning writing from paper with ORC
    • ascii terminal (vt320, wyse60, televideo, ...)
    • terminal emulator under windows
    • screen
    • X-client under windows
    • native X on linux
    • native X on mac
    • native X using ssh with X forwarding
    • ...

    Real programmers use Microsoft Word. :P

    I don't mind occasionally having to reinvent a wheel; I don't even mind using someone's reinvented wheel occasionally. But it helps a lot if it is symmetric, contains no fewer than ten sides, and has the axle centered. I do tire of trapezoidal wheels with offset axles. --Joseph Newcomer
