It would be useful to know what system you're working on, if it's windows then then link Anonymous Monk provided above would work. If it's unix then a quick google suggests Unix::Passwdfile or Passwd::Unix might be worth a look.	[reply]

sankarg: I'm glad that you got the help you needed. But in the future, please leave the question in your node when updating it. That way other people with the same problem may benefit from reading your node with the replies.
