&lt;p&gt;I'm not really a 'clicky-click' user -- I'm happiest at the command line. Your package doesn't even have  instructions on how to install your system, let alone an install shell script.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;ul&gt;&lt;i&gt;You are right on the style of code - it's not OO. Many have a problem with this, but when speed matters, functional is faster.&lt;/i&gt;&lt;/ul&gt;
&lt;p&gt;I like OO, but I'm not sure it's dramatically slower than straight functional programming, as you're implying.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;ul&gt;&lt;i&gt;.. all code must come from trusted sources.&lt;/i&gt;&lt;/ul&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Well, I trust [http://metacpan.org|CPAN] just fine, and I'm happy to build on the excellent building blocks that it provides.&lt;/p&gt;
