<p>While I do not get near enough time coding Perl as I would like, I have spent enough time reading throug the various Perl books to understand various data structures. Therefore, I would hope it would not be *too* much of a stretch for a full-time coder to comprehend various data structures.

<p>From a different stand point...as a general rule, if I ever want to get better at anything I do (cycling, coding, etc) I make it a rule to surround myself with people who are better at the particular discipline than I am. So to say that a particular data structure is too <i>"complicated"</i> is in essence saying that he/she does not want to become a better programmer. IMO.
