Cookbook, too; &lt;tt&gt;perldoc -f&lt;/tt&gt; is always handy for what the camel book offers. (and paper? I stopped killing trees to write programs just as fast as I could  ;)&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;

My real answer, though, is "whichever applies to what I'm doing at the moment and has what I don't know well enough yet." That was "Programming the Perl DBI" most recently. Dunno what it'll be next.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;
