<h3>Notes on the Athanasian Creed/Trinity</h3>
<h4>It's Not Biblical</h4>

<p><b>Three Texts Show Trinitarians Have Spirit of Antichrist</b></p>
<ol>
<li> John 4:24:
"<b>God is a Spirit</b>: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit
and in truth."</li>
<li> Luke 24:39:
"Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see;
for <b>a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have.</b>"</li>
<li> 1 John 4:2-3:
"Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that
Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: And every spirit that
confesseth not that <b>Jesus Christ is come in the flesh</b> is not of God:
and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it
should come; and even now already is it in the world."</li>
</ol>
<p><b>NOTES:</b> The word "Spirit/spirit" in each of the verses quoted above is
the word "pneuma" (pronounced p-nay-oo-ma) in Greek. The first two
texts quote Jesus directly. The final passage comes from Jesus'
closest disciple, who starts his letter on a similar vein with the
words: "That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which
we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands
have handled, of the Word of life; (For the life was manifested, and
we have seen it, and bear witness, and show unto you that eternal
life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us;)" (1 John
1:1-2).</p>
<p>Trinitarians claim that Jesus is "God the Son." If we believe the Man
himself, we must accept that God is a spirit, and that a spirit does
not have flesh and bones. Therefore, strictly speaking, no
Trinitarian or anyone who believes that Jesus <b>IS</b> God can honestly
confess that Jesus came in the flesh--certainly not without
contradiction to these plain passages--because God, who is spirit, does not have flesh. (See also <span title="And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.">Matthew 16:17.</span>)</p>
<p>The Bible's teaching is simple and clear: Jesus was a Man, and God is not a man (see <span title="God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?">Numbers 23:19</span>); however, God--even "all the fulness of the Godhead"--dwelt in Jesus (see <span title="To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.">2 Corinthians 5:19</span>; <span title="For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.">Colossians 2:9</span>). God is immortal, and cannot die (see <span title="Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honour and glory for ever and ever. Amen.">1 Timothy 1:17</span>; <span title="Who only hath immortality, dwelling in the light which no man can approach unto; whom no man hath seen, nor can see: to whom be honour and power everlasting. Amen.">1 Timothy 6:16</span>). But Jesus died. God cannot be tempted with evil (see <span title="Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man:">James 1:13</span>), but Jesus was tempted (see <span title="Then was Jesus led up of the spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil.">Matthew 4:1</span>). <span title="Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body hast thou prepared me:">Hebrews 10:5</span>,<span title="By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh;">20,</span> etc. (the whole chapter is good) teaches us that God came and inhabited a body, concealing His glory, so that we might learn of Him and have a Mediator between us and God. No one can look on God and live, and God is invisible, so no one has ever seen God (see <span title="No man hath seen God at any time, the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.">John 1:18</span>; <span title="Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honour and glory for ever and ever. Amen.">1 Timothy 1:17</span>; <span title="Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:">Colossians 1:15</span>). But many people saw Jesus.</p>
