Another step I find useful "Before uploading" is to use [mod://pod2cpanhtml] to get a glimpse of what my POD will look like on CPAN. It is as close as you're going to get to the real thing.

&lt;p&gt;Update: I noticed this useful piece of information on CPAN Ratings: "It is also possible to preview CPAN HTML using [href://http://search.cpan.org/pod2html] service, that allows uploading .pm files."
