My Wage

I bargained with Life for a penny,
And Life would pay no more,
However I begged at evening
When I counted my scanty store;

For Life is a just employer,
He gives you what you ask,
But once you have set the wages,
Why, you must bear the task.

I worked for a menial's hire,
Only to learn, dismayed,
That any wage I had asked of Life,
Life would have gladly paid.

Stick To Your Task

Stick to your task until it sticks to you,
Beginners are many but enders are few.
Honor, power, place and praise,
Will always come to the one who stays.

Stick to your task until it sticks to you,
Bend at it, sweat at it, smile at it too.
For out of the bend and the sweat and the smile,
Will come life’s victories, after awhile.

What is the point of your post? So there are stupid people. There have always been stupid people. There have always been stupid people place above you. The only slightly interesting aspect in this is, what are you going to do about it?

How about the editors coming up with a single, recommended style for all posted code.

That's a great idea! Let the editors look at my coding style, which is the only one true style, and enforce that on everyone posting here. I'd say, a post containing code that doesn't have that style shouldn't even be allowed to be posted.

It contributes to my unease about perl6 that the model there appears to be a formal language with an unambiguous grammar, rather than a natural language.
