<p>I concur, and will add that it would also be useful to have a preview button for updates to one’s own nodes.</p>
<p>In the meantime, there is an obvious workaround: Clone the PerlMonks tab; in the cloned tab, navigate to your private scratchpad; compose and submit there until happy with the result; cut-and-paste back into the original tab, and make the final submission. A little cumbersome, but workable.</p>
