&lt;p&gt;Well, I previously tried some variations with &lt;c&gt;$soap-&gt;http_response&lt;/c&gt;, but as a result, the webservice was called a second time. The &lt;c&gt;transport&lt;/c&gt; part was what I was missing. Thank you!&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;BTW, &lt;c&gt;as_string&lt;/c&gt; method also returned the HTTP headers... instead, I used:&lt;/p&gt;
