With or without a preview button, you will always discover a typo seconds after you hit the update button.

A program should be light and agile, its subroutines connected like a string of pearls. The spirit and intent of the program should be retained throughout. There should be neither too little or too much, neither needless loops nor useless variables, neither lack of structure nor overwhelming rigidity." - The Tao of Programming, 4.1 - Geoffrey James

Oh. uh... now I understand. I'd always thought that was Murphy twiddling the bits. :-)

Even so, if its "a typo" that might be an improvement over my usual everlasting fountain of cascading errors.

It has long been known that clicking "Print" introduces errors into hardcopy documents. Seems like we have a related effect with "Update".
