C:\test>perlbug ... You will probably want to use a text editor to enter the body of your report. If "notepad" is the editor you want to use, then just press Enter, otherwise type in the name of the editor you would like to use. If you have already composed the body of your report, you may enter "file", and c:\perl64\bin/perlbug.bat will prompt you to enter the name of the file containing your report. Editor [notepad]:

Oh. I was looking for a reference to Notepad in perldoc perlbug, and there isn't one.

Jim, you misunderstood BUK's intention and I would have too.

That's OK, it's nobodies fault, just a misunderstanding.

Now, please don't fall into the trap of quarreling 10s of levels deep.

You're only wasting time and energy.

Just ignore this subthread, like I do and enjoy your live! =)

      Cheers Rolf

PS: Plz take it as a compliment that I'm asking you to be the smart one who stops it...

I had just discovered this 2012 thread in PerlMonks Discussion, which I wish I'd read much earlier. Very enlightening reading. I didn't "fall into the trap." I confess:  I set it. ;-)

You saw this final post, right? I expected this absurd non sequitur to make it fairly obvious to veteran PerlMonks what I'd just done. I certainly proved my conjecture—at least to myself. ;-)

      See line 260
