in thread Plea for upvotes.

Is Buk an imposter/troll while BrowserUk is on vacation

No. They were both me.

For the rest of your questions; I have no answers beyond: I guess I said too much.

I guess I said too much.
You said a lot, but it was small in content.

At least I don't understand the problem. You have posted the above message from your BrowserUK account, so what is exactly the problem?

A program should be light and agile, its subroutines connected like a string of pearls. The spirit and intent of the program should be retained throughout. There should be neither too little or too much, neither needless loops nor useless variables, neither lack of structure nor overwhelming rigidity." - The Tao of Programming, 4.1 - Geoffrey James

so what is exactly the problem?

That should be "so what was exactly the problem?".

Ah, good to hear the problem has gone away / was set right / debugged.

Welcome back BrowserUK and may we keep on learning from you ever-lasting quest to squeeze the last bit of performance out of our dear ol' Perl.

Good question. Seems that it's getting forensic.

So what is going on here?

A factual explanation for the non-gods, non private eyes, mere mortals et al. would be helpful.

It would also be helpful to keep in mind that there are non native speakers around here that might miss some presuppositions as well as sarcasm.

        Thanks and regards, Karl
