in thread Problems with session expiration

Any particular reason to make your own from scratch like that?

Nope, but I wasn't able to find completely finished systems on Google. Or better said I found exactly one that was way over the top and I had to pay for it.

If you know where I can find a complete system I'm willing to use it. :) How do you come to the conclusion that this code doesn't run?
I have it running here: http://www.digioso.org/consystem/login.pl

Login: test
PW: test123

But yes, I'm gonna have to read and find out more if I want it to run.

That last post was from me. :)

      .. find on google ...

see catalyst, dancer, mojo, titanium, cgi::application to build your own system using existing wheels

How do you come to the conclusion that this code doesn't run?

I tried to run it, it wouldn't run :) It may run on your system, it doesn't run on mine, or anyone elses. The code as posted isn't self contained, if I download it, I can't run it to figure out all the problems.

From just reading the code and running it in my mind there is nothing obvious ... other than a stab in the dark (like this guy says, and like the links I linked talk about), that the cookies aren't being sent or accepted -- no cookie means no session

What did you search in Google to get those results?
It wasn't "Perl CGI Login System" or "Perl CGI Session" or something like that. At least I didn't get any of these as results.

And I must admit that those frameworks do not look really like Plug & Play.

Thank your anyway. I managed to fix my code, though. :)

[Corion]: Meh. I think I have now the parts down that I want from a simple Javascript frontend for single-page- applications with a aPerl backend. But it seems that all Javascript templating modules either don't support two-way binding (which would be nice) or ...
[Corion]: ... don't support server-side precompilation (which means the client has to compile all templates to Javascript themselves), or are giant frameworks that expect to do everything (which is not what I want)
[Corion]: I feel that there is a talk somewhere in there, either about the structure and parts, or how I used several parts to get a complete whole.
[Corion]: Maybe I can still find something that is compatible with handlebars.js (which has JS precompilation) but allows for two-way data binding (which is great for the UI)
