Maintainership transfer of AnyEvent::STOMP

by fhew (Beadle)
on Jan 21, 2014 at 14:46 UTC ( #1071478=perlnews: print w/replies, xml ) Need Help??

I've been in contact with the owner of AnyEvent::STOMP and he is no longer in a position to maintain the module and has volunteered to give up control.

I've made some patches to both fix some issues and add a new, needed feature.

This is the 'public' notice of my request for transfer, and I've also posted this request to hoping that someone will push the button so that I (FHEW) can take over responsibility from OTTERLEY.

    The original author is the individual who can make the change most quickly for you by logging in to PAUSE and transferring ownership, or adding a co-maintainer. Anyone else would first have to take the time to verify the author's intent, or to confirm that he is unreachable, or not going to return to the project. That can take weeks or even months. The author him or herself can make the change in moments, and it requires no further fanfare or waiting period.

    G'day fhew,

    It sounds like you're probably already across this but, in case you haven't seen it, you may like to look at "About PAUSE: Taking over".
