Not quite working here. When copy-pasted to here, I get the intended result. But when it appears on the tty, I get a lot of strange symbols, as in:

Juuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuust
Aa^\a^\a^\a^\a^\a^\ather
P^\e^\e^\e^\e^\e^\e^\e^\e^\e^\e^\e^\e^\e^\e^\e^\e^\e^\e^\e^\e^\e^\e^\e^\e^\e^\e^\e^\e^\e^\e^\e^\e^\e^\e^\e^\e^\e^\e^\e^\e^\e^\e^\rl
^\H^\a^\a^\a^\a^\a^\a^\a^\a^\a^\a^\a^\a^\cker

...but only on the XFCE terminal. On XTerm, it appears just fine.
This is on 5.16.2, i586-linux-thread-multi.
