have a look at Spreadsheet::ParseExcel::Simple and Spreadsheet::WriteExcel::Simple. In many cases I have found these "simple" modules to be sufficient for most (but not all) of my spreadsheet parsing and writing needs. CountZero A program should be light and agile, its subroutines connected like a string of pearls. The spirit and intent of the program should be retained throughout.
