I am Gabriel Sharp. Long time X86 Assembler and C++ developer (25ish years), moved to linux-only 3 years ago just after the preview of windows 8. Since then I've been learning every tool i can get my hands on. Currently, and most extensively, perl. I chose perl above python because the language was much more human, had the capacity to be beautiful but in the wrong hands, downright ugly. It also has the ability to trick, lie, steal, love, and hate just like we do. It is most interesting because unlike other languages, seems to have almost a 1:1 human<->library population. For everyone using perl, it seems that they also develop helful libraries. That is my drive also, to contribute to cpan if i can, and help the world if and when possible, and if my kids don't steal the keyboard from me to watch sailor moon on some anime site.
