in thread [Answered; thanks.] Can this be explained in layman's terms?

Judging by the speed and thoroughness with which your question was answered,

Just goes to show how wrong snap judgements can be. Especially by those that do not understand the question ASKED!

[Answered; thanks.] Can this be explained in layman's terms? by BrowserUk ... Update: Thanks to jaredor, Huck & Athanasius.

The way forward always starts with a minimal test.
So what was the answer, yes it can, or no it cant?

The answer to my question is either "Yes, it can be explained in layman's terms." or "No, it cannot be so explained.".

None of the responses directly answered my question; but I was able to derive an answer from them by using my judgement to assess their success in explaining the algorithm description in layman's terms. (I haven't stated which answered I concluded. Nor will I.)

But even if you had been judging the right question; your conclusion whilst not wrong, needn't be the same as mine! Thus nothing you have to say has any relevance to me; or this thread.

So I marked my question as answered to save anyone else from expending effort in the thread. Unfortunately, people always want to get their oar in...and now we get this mess.
