I tried to consider a Tutorial node as it should have been moved to another section. I filled in the consideration box with some info and hitted 'submit'. Whatever happened, I couldn't find that note in Nodes to Consider and the 'consider' field reappeared.

Is there a reason for this? Or should this be fixed?

    Off topic - please folks, use [id://xxx] tags when linking to other nodes on this site. Using these tags requires a little more work on your behalf (like finding the blasted node number), but it prevents bad links!

    This is not intended to single jeroenes out by any means. I just thought this would be a good time and place to gripe, since the topic is still fresh.

    In case you weren't careless like me, clicking on the link provided above results in massively wastefull CPU time on the PerlMonks server while making your browser wait in deadlock until the search results are generated.

    Easy to do, and i hope it wasn't my tutorial you were trying to consider ;)

    UPDATE:
    tye fixed the prob - the link originally pointed to Notes To Consider for those wondering. :) (example link pointed to parent node to protect the innocent and to prevent further CPU spinning)

    Perhaps you should read What is Consideration? before you go any further. It doesn't do any good to use Nodes to Consider to request that a node be moved out of Tutorials. Therefore, the useless consideration was probably eventually removed.

    (Note that the last paragraph about editors being able to move notes between threads is incorrect.)

      I stand corrected for (1) faulty linking and (2) not knowing where to look up that doc1. However, if I understand the explanation as intended, tutorials can not be moved. I should have made an editor request. Due to the SoPWish nature of the particular node that made me try, it seemed only natural to consider. Alright, an editor request it is. (vroom2 sayz you can also make a new posting and consider the original for being a duplicate. Yeah right)

      1Look mam! I can do it {grin}
      2.. and no, I'm not going to id this one
