Learning Perl was the beginning of the tawdry love affair for me. Of course, it's designed with the C Programmer in mind?

Does anybody have any other's they'd recommend? Especially for a first-language Perl user...

    This isn't a book, but it's just as good and it gave me my
    start in perl programming.
