Okay thank you all for your replies.
Of course you are right when you say that this is a free site that answers Perl questions faster than any site.

I realise that saying that major changes could be achieved very easily was stupid. What i meant was turning off the chatterbox but that would make the whole site less attractive.

I do stand corrected and i do appreciate the insight you gave me.
The tips on diabling nodelets and using my own css do help.
