Perl Meetup (most have been cancelled)
tilly and perrin and i actually got together last night despite the nyc meetup being officially cancelled. it was a lot of fun. we're looking for more new yorkers to join us next month.
he seems to be doing ok. still very actively thinking about perl. still working at the same place and has some pretty strong incentives to stay for at least the next nine months.
he still reads perlmonks (hi tilly!) so, yes, he's aware that Ovid has overtaken him and seems to approve.
since his situation's a little delicate and it's his own business, that's about as much as i feel comfortable relating.
This is my 1000th post; I dedicate it to tilly. Ben, you are missed.
thraxil, thanks for sharing.

I make decisions, and my brain carries them out
My brain makes the decisions, and I observe them (if I'm lucky)
I make some decisions, and my brain makes others
My spouse makes decisions and I and my brain carry them out
I wrote a program to relieve me and my brain from the burden of decision-making
