I agree with this. Also, if you have the Perlsonal Nodelet, you already have these links ... seems to be a bit of duplication. Who has been listening to project managment ?

This is not entirely true: you can disable personal nodelet on Monastery Gates or non-front pages. So if you enable personal nodelet only for the frontpage, you still can add nodes to scratchpad and/or personal nodelet using the new feature added today.

There should be something in user settings to control the behaviour of these two new links...
