It wont work in a command like for me. I'm running WinXP, I go Start > Run > cmd In DOS box, I type 'perl myscript.pl' without the quote and it says back "'perl' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file." How do I run this script then?

Well perl isn't in your PATH then. Type "SET PATH" and see what comes. Then try "SET PATH=C:\perl\bin;%PATH%"
