You appear to not have large file support compiled into your perl (see the part of perl -V that reads uselargefiles=undef) See the section on large file support from the perl 5.6 perldelta. perl -pe '"I lo*`+$^X$\"$]!$/"=~m%(.*)%s;$_=$1;y^`+*^e v^#$&V"+@( NO CARRIER'
