Now you should be able to download the stuff within CODE tags for a given node by going to its display page and clicking the d/l code link under the "Comment on X" link.

    <SIGH>So much for my work on the Perlmonks Code Proxy.</SIGH> Once I got over the problem with resetting the start position on my regex, I was really getting into it. Oh well :(

      Yeah well nate did most of the grunt work and I tied up the loose ends. Sometimes stating the problem in a way that sheds interesting light on a way of obtaining a solution is the first step to me moving it up my list. You can commend yourself on doing just that on this particular problem.
