Perl5's OO is pretty weak, but perl6's might be less so. Moose is inspired by either perl6 or by ruby (he kinda mentions both). It may add some of the features you might wish perl had, but I don't think OO is really the main goal of perl, so...
Anyway, you might like the feel of it if you haven't seen it.

Snippets of code should be wrapped in
<code> tags not
<pre> tags. In fact, <pre>
tags should generally be avoided. If they must
be used, extreme care should be
taken to ensure that their contents do not
have long lines (<70 chars), in order to prevent
horizontal scrolling (and possible janitor
intervention).
