Just to cover all bases, Duh? FF. how are you determining the sockets that are in SYN_SENT (or whatever...) state? Using a tool designed for that job. In my case, TCPview. At the time that this anomalous behavior occurs, what’s being recorded in the system logs? What system logs? This isn't a webserver. Are you intending to create a system stress-test? Of course I am. The posted code's sole purpose is to demonstrate the problem as quickly as possible. Examine what is said, not who speaks -- Silence betokens consent -- Love the truth but pardon error.
