( [id://3333]=superdoc: print w/replies, xml ) Need Help??

If anyone is so socially inept that they cannot understand why things I say privately to my wife are not always acceptable to say publicly, there's really no point in trying to explain and I won't do so.

Whom do you consider socially inept in this situation?

A simple and tangential chuckle, a stupid LOL, got blown, grown, and erected into a dogpile mountain of straw-men and offensive anecdotes , by a cacophony of an uncomfortable admonishment machine

A single solitary remark with the mere shadow of a whisper of a hint of an allusion to a sexist statement, one out of one million nodes, got injected with so much "SHHH" hot air, it would have popped the largest saline implant on the market today

If you get a pimple, don't rub it into a festering foot sized hole, to announce you're not the kind of community to stand for pimples

I'm sure if BrowserUk had been /msg'd he'd have removed the link -- but then you would miss out on the opportunity to learn

Title:
Use:  <p> text here (a paragraph) </p>
and:  <code> code here </code>
to format your post; it's "PerlMonks-approved HTML":

  • Are you posting in the right place? Check out Where do I post X? to know for sure.
  • Posts may use any of the Perl Monks Approved HTML tags. Currently these include the following:
    <code> <a> <b> <big> <blockquote> <br /> <dd> <dl> <dt> <em> <font> <h1> <h2> <h3> <h4> <h5> <h6> <hr /> <i> <li> <nbsp> <ol> <p> <small> <strike> <strong> <table> <td> <th> <tr> <tt> <u> <ul>
  • Snippets of code should be wrapped in <code> tags not <pre> tags. In fact, <pre> tags should generally be avoided. If they must be used, extreme care should be taken to ensure that their contents do not have long lines (<70 chars), in order to prevent horizontal scrolling (and possible janitor intervention).
  • Want more info? How to link or How to display code and escape characters are good places to start.
