Is it shameless plugging if the page he points to will help (partially or entirely) solve the question someone has asked? merlyn's articles are extremely useful and have in the past helped me when I stumbled upon something new I hadn't encountered before. Yes, he is plugging for his site, but as far as I can tell, it's the best kind of plugging you'll see around :).

A suggestion for merlyn: rather than "shamelessly" plugging your site, perhaps you should start replying to questions by posting the full text of the article right on the site. Let's fill up the pm database with dozens of copies of your articles. {merlynish grin}.
