in reply to The best thing about whoppers is...

Not to be pedantic, but it's in my nature: it's the Big Mac that consists of "two all-beef patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles, onions on a sesame seed bun". The Whopper has one big patty (unless you get a Double Whopper, of course)....

I think that the Big Mac uses the two tiny "regular hamburger" patties because Ray Croc was trying to simplify preparation -- only one size of patty to grill. The Quarter-pounder was introduced after his death, IIRC.

You're not just being pedantic... it's driving me frickin nuts just seeing that glaring mistake. Whopper is like the exact opposite of Big Mac. *Sigh*

Why do you assume it is a mistake? I assumed the opposite.

The big mac does indeed use two tiny 'regular hamburger' patties. The 'special sauce' is so well-preserved that it requires little refrigeration. Don't look too carefully at the lettuce.

Ask me about the grease trap sometime! It's my favorite story from my time under the arches.

It should work perfectly the first time! - toma
