in thread Abigail-II and some thoughts

It's not immoral to say what I've said about the people I've said it to. Why do you defend the originators of the insults and tell me to clean up MY act when I call them what they called me? The difference is that I provide a reason.

If Vroom did what LinuxQuestions does, there would be no post for me to respond that way to.

In what way does Vroom give me so much freedom, and why shouldn't he? When have I responded to someone by being more insulting than they were to me?

It never ceases to amaze me when someone squawks and shits all over something and then wonders why it doesn't work for them anymore. You have been a troll for nearly your entire existance here. How can you expect everyone to treat you fairly?

I wish everyone would stop trying to rescue and save this troll (and stop replying to him), so PerlMonks can just move on.
Give an example of a time I was being a troll. How did I "squawk and shit" in a way that wasn't appropriate? Do you mean when I complained about being called an idiot, or are you talking about my Boycott O'Reilly post? Be specific.
Look at your nodes, and note every time you insult someone. You have far too many such nodes, and that makes you a troll. Trolls can't agree to disagree.

I’m not defending them; I’m pointing out that you are a hypocrite. You’re not the innocent victim you keep claiming to be.

In what way does Vroom give me so much freedom?

It’s a very simple and straightforward argument that I put forth in my previous thread: LinuxQuestions would have banned you, which limits your ability to post. Vroom wouldn’t ban you, which does not limit your ability to post. Hence, Tim Vroom is giving you more freedom to post than LinuxQuesions.

    and why shouldn’t he?
I just say he does. His reasons are his own, and you’ll have to ask him if you want to know his motives.

When have I responded to someone by being more insulting than they were to me?

  • You say FU to Petruchio and he didn’t insult you.
  • You say the majority of perlmonk’s users suck and in chatterbox you have said that the majority of perlmonk’s users are maggot spit. The majority of perlmonk’s users haven’t ever insulted you. In fact a very small percentage have ever referred to you in any way.
  • You call Tim Vroom an asshole and I’ve never seen him even mention you.

LinuxQuestions would have done something far worse to the person I called an idiot than call him an idiot. I already said that my words are nothing compared to what the person I called an idiot should get. He should get his post deleted (not reaped) at the very least. That would have happened on LinuxQuestions, and I'd therefore not need to call anyone an idiot.

Just for you, I'll be more specific in my recommendations. If someone calls someone an idiot or asshole, without giving a good explanation (I don't care who you have judge that, but if the wrong decision is made, I'll bitch about that too), that post should be deleted. There was no reason given by the person in this thread.

Petruchio said I would be censored from CB if I continue to defend myself. I just posted one long and two short CB messages to defend myself after a long series of unanswered attacks on me. People call me an idiot and they get upvoted, but I defend myself without any insults and I get threatened like that? It was the same BS as usual toward me in that CB conversation, and anything less than someone being on my side I'd hold against someone, and I'd take a threat of censorship as an insult.

I said FU to Petruchio after I'd announced that I'll be leaving Perlmonks. Give me whatever punishment you want. It doesn't matter.

In many cases, the majority of Perlmonks who've voted on a node of mine downvoted it when they knew very well that there was nothing wrong with it. It was obvious, and it was an insult for them to downvote me. I don't need to hear the words to be insulted. I've pointed out such posts like that in the past, and insulting those people as a group isn't the same as an insult toward me without any reasoning.

Almost nobody has complained about people insulting me or about the upvotes they get, and this has gone on long before the FU or any other name calling by me. Also, almost nobody complained about perfectly good posts of mine being downvoted. Even when I've acted nicely towards people who've insulted me and totally debunked their argument.

Tim Vroom is responcible for all of this. He allows the idiotic votes and insulting posts and says nothing. By calling Tim Vroom an asshole, I'm giving him much less severe treatment than he deserves, just like when I called that person from this thread an asshole. Again, that's what I was called first, and it's a totally different thing when the person clearly deserves it and you give a reason.

Almost nobody has complained about people insulting me or about the upvotes they get, and this has gone on long before the FU or any other name calling by me. Also, almost nobody complained about perfectly good posts of mine being downvoted.
        Why should they?
        • You're a hypocritical jerk
        • Your tantrum has outlasted any carried on by previous trolls
        • You keep perpetuating your flamefest ad-nauseum
        • After cursing the monastery and shitting on our doorsteps, you start dictating how people should behave?
In case you haven't gotten the message, people are sick and tired of hearing spew flame. Regardless of what you say from this point forward, every one of your nodes will undoubtedly be downlvoted because no one wants to hear anything you have to say. If the monastery was a physical place you would have been kicked out a long time ago.
        Re: LinuxQuestions
So you're blaming your bad behavior on everyone else? Sorry I don't buy that; no one forced you to start throwing insults.

They aren't getting as much flack as you because they are far better behaved than you. Their insults are few and far between, whereas your insults are pervasive and continuous. Not only that, but you also insult the entire community when one member of the community insults you.

        Re: Petruchio
You didn't get reaped for defending yourself, you got reaped because you started insulting people. If you consider what he said as an insult, you've got some serious comprehension issues you should be dealing with.

        Re Downvoting:
Again, you have some serious comprehension issues if you're equating down voting to insulting. Down voting someone does not equate to calling them an asshole. If you're considering that justification for your actions, its just going to get worse from here on in; the more you insult people, the more down votes you're going to get.

        Re Tim Vroom:
He doesn't say anything because it is a community run site. He isn't your nanny, and its not his responsibility to hold your hand.

Now, lets take a closer look at your logic here. From your Petruchio response, you feel justified in insulting people when the say things to you. From your Tim Vroom response, you feel justified in insulting people when the don't say things to you. QED you feel justified insulting people all the time. Does that give you any insight on why people are down voting you?
Tim Vroom is responcible for all of this. He allows the idiotic votes and insulting posts and says nothing.

If Vroom is responsible for maintaining order and enforcing civility in the Monastary, and being as Perlmonks is his site, that means that he has complete freedom to do with it as he sees fit.

If Vroom asks you to leave, will you?
