Now you can shortcut linking to outside urls by using a http:// prefix in your bracketed links

  • []to produce a link like
  • [|killer new website that is the rage with kids these days] to produce a link like killer new website that is the rage with kids these days

You can also link to books on using the isbn:// prefix

  • [isbn://1565922840|Learning Perl]to product a link like Learning Perl

When I did my first node last week, I sort of expected the http://... thing to work, but I was disappointed. Very nice to see it actually implemented: Thanks!

[Corion]: On the upside, maybe running that for my family would be interesting, or at least for myself
[Corion]: I'm not fond of using a server hosted by other people, even if they claim to be GNU ;)
[Discipulus]: gee a social network with the family.. is this a dread? ;=)
