... mst managed to save the latest content from the Wiki

Sadly, Tony seems to be objecting to other people sharing this content:

Tony replied telling me that he believed he was the copyright holder of the entire work and also of almost every page in it, and refused to provide me with any right to use it.

You can still read these pages in the Google cache, although that may get cleared out sooner or later...

The wiki is back and in the process of being moved permanently to a new home. Tony says on the home page:

It is currently in the process of moving to a new location. Any changes you make between now and then may be lost during the move. Details will be made available here when this is ready, and presumably also on the new CdbiMailingList.

This site was unavailable for a few days in an attempt to prevent it being replicated it elsewhere. Sorry about that. Hopefully we can get on now with a proper handover.

[ambrus]: 1nickt: my impression is that the gamers like the softer springs, because fast reaction time is more important to them then feedback from keypresses to recognize typos.
[1nickt]: Ah, I see. I did read some gamer mag reviews, and yes, they lamented the fact that laptops with no discrete video card are sold as "gaming" hardware.
[1nickt]: But, they do have red keyboard backlighting! And gargoyles on the front, or words like "Maxxx" here and there. They know their demographic!
[1nickt]: True gamers don;t buy Dells, HPs, or Lenovos, I think ;-)
[ambrus]: The keyboard I bought doesn't have backlighting. I specifically had to select for that, because so many keyboards these days have lights. Why would I want lights in the keyboard? I want lights in the room, such as on the ceiling, not in the keyboard.
