How does editing work in the Tutorials section?

Whenever someone creates a Tutorial-type writeup (using the form at the bottom of the Tutorials page), it automatically appears in the New Tutorials category of Tutorials.

The only thing remaining is to give it a permanent home in an appropriate category. The people with this ability are the Pedagogues. Therefore, if it seems like they're taking their sweet time pidgeonholing a tutorial, feel free to tickle them via /msg [Pedagogues]. If possible, please include the name of the existing Tutorials category in which you believe the given tutorial would be most appropriate.

Note: Pedagogues do not have the power to modify tutorial posts in any way. For that, all the standard moderation and consideration procedures apply.

If you're a Pedagogue:

  1. Go to the Tutorials page. You should see the new tutorial listed in the New Tutorials section.
  2. Click the header of the section into which the new tutorial is to be added. (For example, Getting Started with Perl.)
  3. Click the "Edit" link in the upper right.
  4. Type/paste the node id — just the ID — into the next available slot in the list, and click the "submit below" button.
See Editing DocLists for more details.

[holli]: Corion is well off. I am sure there is a script of his running in the frankfurt banking data center, diligently mining bitcoins ;-)
[Corion]: holli: Hahaha :-D
[choroba]: When working at a bank, we had a colleague who entered mining early enough to have lots of bitcoins. He used to say "I go to work just because I'm too bored at home."
[Corion]: choroba: Aah, no, I do it because of the money :)
[choroba]: And when asked "How are you?" in the morning, his reply was usually "I don't know, haven't checked the bitcoin rates yet."
