Do you pronounce it Nipponese-style like "koo-row-sheen" or like "corrosion"? Both! There's an explanation of how the name came about somewhere on the site (can't find it at the moment), but it's not meant to be an actual word, although someone has looked into the meaning of the two words kuro and shin.
