I'm not familiar with the format, but judging from the amount of porting they do, and the basmati software that integrates with it (looking at the source briefly) - I would wager its some sort of sql db. I would run linux "file" utility on it and see what it thinks it is.

if you could post an example I'm sure some monks could figure it out...

    The above poster two above is correct. The native format is who knows what and I will make a good bet you won't get support from Orbis Soft to reverse engineer it. The Basmati format that was mentioned can be exported from Easy Grade Pro is xml. This same format is used for importing grades into Online Grades, which is free software for posting student grades online. It basically picks up where the older basmati software gave up. The XML format is documented in the onlinegrades Sourceforge cvs in the main tree under the docs directory. Sam
