Ususally skål, in deference to my ancestors, or "Here's mud in your eye", in memory of the land of my birth, or "Chin" if I just want to go with the crowd, or else somewhere between 3 and 4, depending on how fresh the bread is, and how much use the toaster's seen in the last few minutes, because these days the thermostat is a little flakey.
