in thread Super Search discouraged?

Unfortunately, we have just the one box doing both search & goto functionality. Separating these two would be good.

Actually I find that useful: in fact I use the simple search almost exclusively to go straight to some node of which I know the title in advance, e.g. a home node. OTOH it's funny that I stumbled upon this thread clicking on Super Search the other day, since the link is implemented by name, not by id.

I think you meant that the link you *clicked* the other day is *presented* with name as I'm definitely sure you know that every node is *implemented* by id and name as well.

Open source softwares? Share and enjoy. Make profit from them if you can. Yet, share and enjoy!

I think that it's the same thing, in fact I didn't write that the node is "implemented by name" (which is also sloppy as an expression, but hopefully quite understandable after all). I wrote that the link is: you even quoted that! See the additionally emphasized terms above.
