NASCAR and Formula 1 race cars (recreational use) are seen as cool, but you can't (legally) drive one to work (practical use). They both use internal combustion engines, brakes, mirrors, seat belts, just differently.

[Corion]: That is a horrible approach that was also taken by Access, but if you have hooks that prevent automatic saving to the database, it is incredibly handy
