in thread What is the format of a .packlist file for a PPM repository?

My local repository works with and without the summary files; if a summary file is there, it uses it, and if it's not, it downloads and parses each ppd file it finds.

    Now completely baffled

Size Issue? I have over 7,000 local '.ppd' files

I know it works with nearly 7,000 from a remote web site with the package files but could there be an issue with reading the files where there is no index?

I have got the command line working:

ppm> rep sync --force --max-ppd 8000 2 Downloading LocalD packlist...done ppm> s ldap *** no packages matching 'ldap' found *** ppm> rep Да id Да pkgs Да name Да Да 1 Да n/a Да ActiveState Package Repository Да Да 2 Да 0 Да LocalD Да Да 3 Да n/a Да Dubious Да (1 enabled repository) ppm> rep desc 2 Id: 2 Name: LocalD URL: file:///D:/ActiveState_CD/ppmrep Enabled: yes Last-Status: 200 OK Last-Access: 2 minutes and 24 seconds ago Refresh-In: 10 hours Last-Modified: 4 days ago ppm>
The active repository with 0 packages in is the same one I used with the earlier version of ppm (as in 817) which could find all the packages.

I now just don't know what is going on; it is probably something simple as your works.

Nothing succeeds like a budgie with no teeth.
