What is PMD?

by SiteDocClan
on Nov 21, 2007 at 22:03 UTC ( #652258=sitefaqlet: print w/replies, xml ) Need Help??

"PMD" is a common abbreviation for PerlMonks Discussion, the section for discussing the PerlMonks site itself (see also Guide to PerlMonks Acronyms and Abbreviations). A form for starting a new discussion about the site can be found at the bottom of that page (but please review Posting on PerlMonks first).

Major changes to the site will be announced in the PMD section though it will also contain other threads such as questions about the site. Minor (and major) changes to the site are recorded in Tidings.

[Lady_Aleena]: marioroy, nope, that IS the error.
[Discipulus]: oh to be distracted PM is still a wonderfull place
[Tanktalus]: Problem is, it's a test for another monk - as in, another monk letting me interview for his company :)
[Tanktalus]: He might see me here... :D
[Discipulus]: it's me? ;=)
[marioroy]: Lady_Aleena could it be a quoting issue? I just tried find with -exec on the command line. find . -name "*.pl" -exec ls -l {} \;
[Tanktalus]: No, I know who he is, nice try. But if you're hiring, let me know :)
[Tanktalus]: Lady_Aleena: yeah, I can reproduce your issue, it's confusing alright :)
[Tanktalus]: I'm sure it'll make perfect sense once we figure it out :)
[Lady_Aleena]: marioroy, not a quoting error. I can't run it on the command line. It is when I put it in qx() where it falls apart.
