And what I see instead is that many developers take those exactly as commandments, even if they go completely against the current codebase and guidelines. Just makes no sense.

It's probably their personality. Inflexible, need strict hierarchies where everyone's place is known, basically "fascist" or "autistic" or "would probably prefer Python".

[Discipulus]: i need some converter to have directly an OVF format directly: at the moment i'm trying with vmware converter standalone
