I'd be happy to entertain any better ideas. Check out the last few slashdot polls, I'm not a seasoned webmaster like the people that run that site.

Ideas

I think this is a good question but here are some ideas

    • Number of times you go to work/school hungover.
      • Never, I study the Holy Scripture every night.
      • Once, but I've learned my lesson.
      • At least once a week.
      • 2-3 times a week.
      • 4-5 times a week.
      • Man, couldn't tell you right now my head hurts to much to count. By the way where are we going for lunch?
      • Never, I make sure I'm still drunk.
    • Number of times you workout at the gym durring a week.
      • Never, I have the body of a god/goddess!
      • 1-2 times / wk
      • 3-5 times / wk
      • 5 + times / wk
      • Never, why can't you love me the way I am!
    • The most importaint thing about a prospective partner is:
      • Money
      • Looks
      • Intelligence
      • Own a car
      • Responcability
      • Willingness to have threesomes
      • Simular religious beliefs
      • Be Microsoft/Intel free
    • My first sexual experience happened when I was:
      • Before 13
      • 14
      • 15
      • 16
      • 17
      • 18
      • Hopfully some time this week
      • I don't like to think about it. I had to put Rover to sleep last year.
Quite the list I must say I'm quite impressed.
Well, i mean those are the sorts of things that you find on psychology tests and what not. My degree isn't in programming. It's in psychology, specificly psycho-linguistics with an emphisis on speach patterns of successful therapists. Not successful in the sence of dollars, but those who are able to enact change in others at least 30% faster than average.

        For what it's worth. I read a lot. little_mistress@mainhall.com

depending on what you mean specifically.... "hopefully some time next week" for me ;)
Random voting topic suggestions

Howzabout "What's your favorite O'Reilly book dealing with Perl" or some such? Maybe not as whimsical or light as some others, but most will have an opinion, and the results might be useful.

Or, "What's your favorite CPAN module?" (Though it'd be hard coming up with the choices...)

    Other random suggestions:

    • How much do you spend a week on technical books?
    • What's your favorite (other) Perl site?
    • Why did you resign? (see alt.tv.prisoner)
    • Which movie star would be most convincing as a Perl geek? (No Natalie Portman entries, slashheads...)
    • Into what home appliance/electronics would you most like to embed Perl? (Clock radio, refrigerator, dishwasher, lawnmower, stereo...)
    • What's Perl's least-used keyword?
    • Which Perl authors appear most frequently in your dreams?
