The solution for this one involves decision processing (if/else), looping and loop termination, at least one search algorithm (binary), decision trees, and other topics at the core of CS. Using a program to study the algorithm might be sufficient for part or all of a project of this size, depending on the skill and experience of your sister. --MidLifeXis
