Thank you for the apology. And thank you for explaining your "motivation". I can see how that would be quite a difficult subject to broach. But now that you've informed me, I can certainly try to avoid the "menacing" end of the spectrum with you. I actually have some practice with that, knowing not to stand too close to people (since I've frightened several that way) and also discovering that really smiling can get me fired and nearly arrested.

I guess you'd be offended by that answering maching greeting, since clearly the point was to find humor in failures to "pass" the "intelligence test".

I'm more convinced that your impression or your recollection is inaccurate. I've never put up "false" considerations to trick people into voting some way and I wouldn't refer to such with the "intelligence test" line.
