    exactly that is what I am looking for. Ruleby for Ruby or Drools for Java, ? for Perl. Isn't there such kind of module out there?
        thx a lot, I will have a look at them.
        I am thinking of using PIE as well for the rule engine that i am going to build in Perl. Did you use it? what do you think of it?
